Welcome to ICAN's Home Page! The International Christian Academy of Nagoya is an international school located on the outskirts of Nagoya, Japan. ICAN offers a quality education for students from　Pre-Kindergarten through 11th grade. All instruction is in English. We are a partner school of the Network of International Christian Schools (www.nics.org) with headquarters near Memphis, Tennessee. ICAN is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Dear Parents, The weather has definitely turned to winter and with this comes the influenza virus. We want to be sure that the virus is not spread through our school and that our students remain healthy so we are asking for your help. If your child gets a fever suddenly and has muscle aches and pains, please do not send your child to school but take him/her to the doctor as soon as possible. Medication can be given to the affected person to help relieve the symptoms but it is only effective within the first 48 hours of the symptoms appearing. A humidifier to help keep the air moisture level at 50% will help to keep the virus from surviving and spreading. Room temperature should and remain between 21-24. Please help us help your child and your family to stay healthy by encouraging everyone in your family to cover his/her nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, keeping him/her at home if there is a fever or muscle aches and taking the affected person to the doctor quickly. If your child has the flu virus, we ask that you immediately notify the school so we can also take proper measures here. Thank you for your help, cooperation and support. You are appreciated.
